Maintenance Person (Plumber)

Full time, permanent, £22,159 per annum

St Anne’s College seeks to appoint a Maintenance Person (Plumber). As part of a Maintenance Team of 9 the postholder will be responsible for carrying out a range of emergency repairs and on-going maintenance work to all College buildings, with a particular emphasis on plumbing repairs.

Working with other team members and external contractors s/he will assist in the maintenance, replacement and repair of the estate across all disciplines as required.  This will include investigating, diagnosing and repairing faults; responding to breakdowns, faults and service request call and assisting other team members or contractors in completing diagnostic and remedial work.

The successful candidate will have experience in plumbing work and repairs with practical and proven experience in all aspects of maintenance, fault finding and repair works.  A ‘hands-on’ approach will be essential with a willingness to take on new responsibilities/training opportunities.

The position is offered on a full-time permanent basis (37 hours per week). Benefits include: 38 days’ holiday, staff pension scheme and free lunches when on duty and dining hall is open.

Casual Dining Hall General Assistants

Casual Dining Hall General Assistants

£9.00 per hour plus 12.07% per hour holiday pay.

The Catering Department of St Anne’s College are looking for casual Dining Hall General Assistants (waiting staff). Working in the Catering department, the roster includes day and evening shifts and may vary depending on College needs and as this is a casual role there is no guarantee of being offered any shifts. The main duties will be assisting in the preparation of dining rooms and serving of all meals to guests as well as carrying out other catering duties as required including coffee shop and bar work.

As all our staff are required to handle alcohol applicants must be aged 18 or over.

Third Chef

Full time, permanent, £23,474 - £25,599 per annum

Our Catering department are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, dynamic team player to fill our Third Chef vacancy.

Main duties include; preparation for all food for staff, students and conference guests; occasionally running the kitchen; overseeing stock ordering and administrating cleaning schedules.

You will be expected to work 40 hours per week; this includes weekends, straight and split shifts, some of which may very depending on College needs.

You will have experience of working in a kitchen as part of a team and able to work across all areas of our two kitchens preparing a wide variety of meals to the highest standards.

Casual Summer Chef

Casual Summer Chef (June-September 2019)

Up to 40 hours per week, part time applications considered

£10.00 per hour plus 12.07% per hour holiday pay. 

The Catering Department of St Anne’s College are looking for a Chef to work over the busy summer period.

The Summer Chef will work alongside the Head Chef and the kitchen brigade preparing all food for staff, students and conference guests.  The successful applicant will work across all areas of our two kitchens preparing a wide variety of meals to the highest standards.

A good knowledge of working in a busy kitchen is required. 

The roster will include weekends and straight and split shifts. In any week you might be asked to work up to a maximum of 40 hours. Shift times may vary depending on College needs.  The successful applicant will need to provide their own Chef Whites.
