Stipendiary Lectureship in Spanish

Fixed-term from 1st October 2019 – 30th September 2022

Michaelmas 2019 – Hilary 2020 £6,958 pa pro rata; Trinity 2020 – Trinity 2022 £9,277 pa pro rata (Point 2 on the Recommended Scale For Stipendiary Lecturers 2018-19)

The role is to provide teaching cover during the period when the current Fellow and Tutor of Spanish, Professor Geraldine Hazbun, will be Chair of the Sub-faculty of Spanish (Michaelmas Term 2019 and Hilary Term 2020) and then Director of Undergraduate Studies for Modern Languages (Trinity Term 2020-22).

No university post is associated with this Lecturership. The post holder will be an enthusiastic, self-motivated Stipendiary Lecturer able to undertake initially 3 contact hours of tutorial and/ or class teaching per week during each of the eight weeks of term in Michaelmas 2019 and Hilary 2020, increasing to 4 contact hours per week from Trinity 2020.  Tutorials may be given to both St Anne’s students and to those from other colleges under exchange arrangements.

Casual Dining Hall General Assistants

£9 per hour plus 12.07% per hour holiday pay.

The Catering Department of St Anne’s College are looking for Casual Dining Hall General Assistants (waiting staff). Working in the Catering department, the roster includes mainly weekend and weekday evening shifts, however, day shifts may also be available. Shift times may vary depending on College needs. As this is a casual role there is no guarantee of being offered any shifts. The main duties will be assisting in the preparation of dining rooms and serving of all meals to guests as well as carrying out other catering duties as required including coffee shop and bar work.

As all our staff are required to handle alcohol applicants must be aged 18 or over.

Permanent Dining Hall General Assistant

General Assistant – Dining Hall

Full time, permanent, £17,295 per annum

We are currently looking for a full time General Assistant to work in the Dining Hall.

Working in any area of the Catering Department to meet the needs of the College, General Assistants duties will include; providing servery, plate and buffet services to the highest standard, serving meals, snacks and beverage within STACS, handling cash, preparing and clearing food service areas and tables, stocking and replenishing counters and fridges, occasional evening bar work. The above list of duties and responsibilities is not exhaustive and you may be required to carry out alternative tasks.

You will be expected to work 36.25 hours per week; this includes weekends and evenings with two days off usually given per week.

Experience of working in a catering environment and as part of a team is desirable and as well as serving to a high standard.
