MA Reunion Dinner

On 1 June 2013, we will be inviting those matriculating in 2005 and 2006 to graduate in absence and your MA certificate will be presented to you.

This event is open to all graduates who have been admitted to the degrees of Bachelors of Arts or Fine Art and who are therefore eligible to receive an MA in, or at any time after, the twenty-first term from their Matriculation (i.e., seven years after you started studying at Oxford). There are very few places at the degree ceremonies for MA graduation, and there is no ceremony on this date, so we are creating this opportunity for you to graduate in advance in absentia and your certificate will be presented to you. This is a great opportunity to obtain your MA and meet up with your friends.

The presentation of your certificate will be followed by celebratory drinks and dinner in the Dining Hall at a cost of £30 and guests are most welcome. The closing date for bookings is Tuesday 28 May 2013.

Please note that you also need to arrange your MA graduation in absentia. Please send the form, which can also be found on the St Anne’s website (http://www.st-annes.ox.ac.uk/alumnae/degree-ceremonies-transcripts.html), and payment to the Academic Office by Wednesday 24 April. After Wednesday 24 April it will still be possible to attend the dinner but not to collect your MA at this event.

We encourage you to come as a group of friends and the Development Office is happy to put Senior Members in touch with each other so do let us know if there is a contemporary you have lost touch with, whom you would like to contact about the dinner. Although not able to convert their degree, Graduates admitted to the degrees of MEng, MChem, MPhys, MMath, MESc, or MBiochem, and those who have already taken their MA, are also most welcome to attend the dinner.

Approximate timings:
17.00-18.00 - Opportunity to have photos taken in MA Gown
18.00-18.45 - Presentation of certificates
18.45-19.30 - Pre-dinner drinks
19.30 - Dinner
