St Anne's outreach activities take place both near and far, and are currently extending even further thanks to the generous donation of Mr Bernard Man (Jurisprudence, 1995) and his father-in-law, Mr Patrick Huen.

We will be running a St Anne’s Summer School in Hong Kong in 21-25 July 2014. The Summer School  will give 200 local school pupils the opportunity to spend 5 days working with some of St Anne’s top academic Fellows and Tutors, on subjects ranging from Particle Physics, International Law, the molecule mysteries of DNA, by way of the Contrasts in the Sea – the Shore and the Deep,  as well as Music, History, and Extreme Environments – the Arctic and Deserts. Mr Man’s former secondary school, Diocesan Boys’ School in Mongkok  has graciously offered to host us.

Demand has been so great that a Supplementary Programme of activities will also be available which will enable older pupils to learn more about Studying at Oxford (and How to Apply) as well as engage with the Critical Thinking and Communication Skills required by all top universities.  There will also be two Public Lectures given by Fellows, as well as a Careers’ Forum chaired by Mr Man. This will be for all participants, their families and teachers.  Bookings for the main Summer School have now closed but we are about to roll out details of the Supplementary Programme. Any enquiries should be directed to the Senior Tutor who is responsible for the Summer School: Dr Anne Mullen, or our Programme Administrator, Miss Amy Murray,

It is only thanks to our alumnae that we are able to continue with our outreach activities and the Senior Tutor is always keen to establish contact with you and explore new initiatives.
