Kellen McGee (Visiting Student, English, 2011), Alison Walsh (Modern Languages – French and Spanish, 2011) and Camilla Reece-Trapp (Classics, 2009) ran for St Anne's College in the Teddy Hall Relays on Wednesday 7th March, a yearly event hosted by the Oxford University cross-country club, and came in first place of the Female College teams. St Anne's has been well-represented in the cross-country athletics, both currently and in the recent past.
Teddy Hall Relays is a popular running relay race held every year in the heart of Oxford. The race begins from the famous Iffley Road track where Roger Bannister broke the 4 minute barrier (Jackdaw Lane, Iffley Road, Oxford). Each leg of the relay is 4.4 miles and the race is open to Men’s teams (4 runners), Women’s teams (3 runners) and Mixed teams (2 men, 2 ladies per team). For further information on this event see the Oxford University Cross Country Club website.
In addition, Tom Frith (Physics, 2010) represented England in the Home Countries Cross Country International competition on Sunday 18th March and came in third place in the Under 20 Men category; this was his international debut at the event in Glasgow, Scotland. For further information about the completion visit the Scottish Athletics website.
Our congratulations go to Tom, Kellen, Alison and Camilla.
