We are delighted to announce that Dr Sarah Waters, St Anne's Fellow and Tutor in Applied Mathematics, has been awarded the Whitehead Prize by the London Mathematical Society for `her contributions to physiological fluid mechanics and the biomechanics of artificially engineered tissues'.
The Whitehead Prizes are awarded each year in memory of Professor J.H.C. Whitehead. They are typically awarded to younger mathematicians in the UK, and are awarded across the whole of mathematics, including applied mathematics, mathematical physics, and mathematical aspects of computer science.
Our congratulations go to Sarah.
