My research focusses on processing of advanced materials, in particular correlating the effect of systematic alterations to microstructure and composition on changes in macroscopic structural, mechanical and electrical properties. My current interests include superconducting ceramics, graded ceramic structures, ceramics for armour applications, and the fabrication of metamaterials by scalable polymer-based routes.
