DPhil (Modern History, Oxford University, 1991). In 2004-05, he was a visiting professor at the University of Virginia, funded by a Leverhulme Fellowship.
Gareth Davies specializes in 20th-century American history, with a particular focus on institutional changes in American government since the 1960s, and on the political legacy of the Johnson and Nixon presidencies.
