BSc Zoology with Marine Zoology (Bangor, University of Wales); DPhil Applied Entomology (York); joined St Anne’s in 1978.
Teaching Interests:
Undergraduate: Invertebrate Zoology, Marine ecology and conservation, Insect pest management.
Graduate: Tropical ecology (see below).
Research Interests:
Tropical ecology, rainforest impacts and animal diversity, coral reef ecology including mangroves and sea grass, project over last 5 years in Honduras, Puerto Rico, Tobago, British Virgin Islands, Zanzibar (Tanzania), Kenya, Mozambique, Sri Lanka, Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, Indonesia, Australia.
