Academic Background:

BA in Ancient and Modern History (St Hugh's College, Oxford, 2006); MPhil in Political Thought and Intellectual History (St John's College, Cambridge, 2007); PhD in Sixteenth-Century French Catholic Political Thought (St John's College, Cambridge, ongoing)

Research Interests:

Early modern political theory and intellectual history. My doctoral research focuses on late sixteenth-century France and the work of the Catholic League. I am interested especially in the dialectic between religious and political thought in this period amongst Huguenots, Leaguers and 'Politiques' and corresponding questions of French national identity.
