We compile our events diary each year at our AGM: the perfect opportunity for us to suggest and discuss a variety of ideas. This year (2010/2011) for instance we visited Bletchley Park in November, we saw the swans at Welney Marshes in February and we had a guided tour of Saffron Walden in April. A regular feature in our yearly calendar is a garden Party each June held at the Old Vicarage, Grantchester, in the beautiful gardens of Mary Archer’s home. We now share some of our events with our sister college in Cambridge, Murray Edwards Hall. Our membership hovers around the 30 mark and we have a varied cross section of ages although admittedly most of us are at the mature end!
Our regular Newsletter, published about 4 times a year, keeps us all in touch with one another, and is especially important to those who find joining events difficult.
We are proud to support a bursary at St Anne’s in the memory of former Senior Member, Sarah McCabe.
In September each year we hold a Freshers Welcome party attended also by present undergraduates: a successful formula for the start of an exciting new phase in the Freshers lives.
