On the 19th May 1952, the Great Seal was affixed to the Charter (approved by Her Majesty The Queen on April 29th 1952) and St Anne’s became a full College of the University. The Royal Charter was one of the very first documents the present monarch put her seal to, after her accession but before her coronation.
The 19th May 2012 will be a celebration of our 60th anniversary and an opportunity for past and present generations of the College to come together.
For further information about the day, please view the invitation, which is has been mailed out.
Families are most welcome to attend this event together. Although we are now running waiting lists for all of the speaker sessions and cannot accept guest bookings for these or the lunch, we will have a space available in College for picnics. We also have plenty of places remaining at the tea and cakes at 3.45pm and guests are most welcome to join us for this (please note that registration is required). From 2.15pm to 5.30pm, there will be a number of family events including a Circus Skills Workshop, an Indian Dance Workshop, an Art Workshop, and a Creative Writing Workshop (registration for these will take place on the day).
Please contact Kate Davy at kate.davy(at)st-annes.ox.ac.uk with any queries or to register.
