Payroll Giving (GAYE)

Tax Calculator

Tax Calculator

The benefits to you:

  • you can make a regular, manageable commitment to St Anne’s for an amount and period of time of your choice;
  • making a donation to St Anne’s direct from your pay is tax free. For example, if you pay tax at the basic rate it will only cost you £3.90 to donate £5.00 to the charity.

The benefits to the College:

  • knowing we have regular income enables us to plan for the future with confidence.

You can take advantage of payroll giving if your pay or pension is taxed through PAYE and your employer offers a Give As You Earn (GAYE) scheme.

If you pay Income Tax at the higher rate, the value of the gift is even greater. And there is no limit to the size of your donation.

Example:

If Mr Green, a higher rate taxpayer, gives under GAYE, he can donate £50 pcm at an actual cost to him of £30 pcm. This will make an annual gift to the College of £600 at a cost to Mr Green of £360.

Please do contact Gina Beloff in the development office if you would like to discuss making a gift in this way.
