St Anne's Boat Club

St Anne's Boat Club

St Anne’s was most successful college in rowing in 2006-07, and the Boat Club attracts a large number of students, many of whom have never rowed before coming to university.

There are two immediate funding priorities. First, to promote access to rowing by subsidising the costs of participating: a novice rower might spend at least £255 (membership fee plus kit costs) in their first year on the river, even if they do not compete seriously.

Secondly, the Club needs new equipment if the hard work and eagerness of the students is going to be rewarded with the success their efforts merit. The Club has drawn up a list of funding priorities, totalling some £25,000, which includes the refurbishment of the women’s boat, new women’s blades, and the purchase of a new men’s boat.

The College is inviting you to help place the Boat Club on a more sustainable financial footing by making a regular donation to support rowing at St Anne’s.
