The tutorial system remains at the heart of St Anne’s and the wider University.
This one-to-one academic relationship between personal tutor and undergraduate combines the personal attention of a college environment with the intellectual stimulus of being taught by someone who has an international reputation in their field.
St Anne’s subsidises the costs of teaching by some £1,900 per undergraduate each year - with some 420 undergraduates, the College’s total teaching deficit is £800,000 annually.
Our aim must be to ensure College Fellowships are securely funded so that we can shape St Anne’s academic profile to maximise its strengths.
The generosity of generations of St Anne’s supporters has enabled us to endow fully six Fellowships, and partly endow a further nine. In total, there are 33 tutorial Fellowships at the College.
We are inviting you to make a regular gift to help us build our ‘Tutorial Fighting Fund’ to secure the system’s future at St Anne’s.
