St Anne’s library is the best-stocked and most well-used college library in Oxford.
The College spends the equivalent of £320 per student each year on our library, some 20% more than the average Oxford college. Last year, 2,250 books and periodicals were added to the library, the equivalent of 44 metres - or 145 feet - of shelf space.
The reason we invest so heavily is because we know quite how appreciated the library is by our undergraduate and post-graduates: 55,000 loans to students were recorded last year.
That the College is able to afford to maintain and improve our library is thanks to the ongoing generosity of our alumnae, parents and friends.
