In the Long Vacation of 2019 the Law firm Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co.  intend to offer one 6-8 week paid internship.

The student would be interning under a specific team (as per their practice area preference). They would be allotted a Training Guide (within the team) and a Mentor (an Oxford Alumni) for guidance in terms of work and otherwise.

Location: New Delhi

Remuneration: The intern will be paid 50,000 Rs. per month

Accommodation provided: Yes

Travel expenses: The intern will be reimbursed for their economy class flight ticket. They can book the tickets and produce it for reimbursement. We do not have any restrictions on the airport from which they book the flight, however, it may perhaps be useful for the candidate to write to the HR before booking tickets to get a sense of the fares they are getting.

Travel insurance provided: No 

Selection Criteria

Who can apply: Second and third year undergraduates and graduates studying Law (excluding Visiting Students).

Suggested subject areas: General Corporate, Project Finance, Dispute Resolution, Banking & Finance, Intellectual Property, Insolvency and Bankruptcy, Competition Law, Capital Markets, Tax.

Language requirements: Fluent in English but prior experience in the internship field is not necessary!

You will need to submit the following:

  • CV
  • Covering letter: One-side of A4, in which you describe the type of work you’d like to complete on the internship, any preference for sectors and your reasons for wanting to gain this experience.
  • Reference from your Personal Tutor / Supervisor: It is your responsibility to ensure references are emailed directly by your Tutor before the deadline.
