The Danson Programme & Incubator Project

The Danson Foundation was founded by Mike Danson (Law, 1982), and his wife Helen, to help support all students to achieve their potential, regardless of background.

Through The Danson Foundation, Mike and Helen offer St Anne's students a wealth of opportunities. They have generously supported our students through the funding of Oxford Bursaries, their Internship Scheme and the Incubator start-up Projects.

The Danson Internships

Each year, the Danson Foundation offers between 30-40 paid internships based mostly in London. The internships are in organisations connected to The Danson Foundation and the GlobalData Plc group, across a range of sectors, including digital and printed media, management consultancy and the third sector. Placements have included Canadean, the New Statesman, the Prince's Trust, The World of Fine Wines, PEAS International, MyBnk, the Education Endowment Foundation and Conlumino.

Alongside the internships, students also attend special careers events and lunches in central London with guest speakers, and network with professional contacts.

Our students find the internships very rewarding, particularly seeing the results of their work making a real impact, and contributing to the objectives of different companies they are working for.

We strongly encourage applications from all subject areas - the opportunities on offer are a learning experience, designed to teach a whole range of transferable skills regardless of students' previous experience or degree course. We also encourage our Danson Bursary Holders to apply for the internships.
