You can support your child by encouraging them to talk (at great length!) about their subject – providing both revision and interview practice. Do tell them to check for dates of tests and deadlines for written work. But we strongly recommend that they produce their own timetable of this and take responsibility for it themselves.

If your child has a query, please encourage him or her to contact us in person – even if it seems trivial. Often we are unable to talk to you on their behalf (owing to data protection rules), and it is always better coming from them direct. Rest assured that your child will be well looked after if he or she is invited for interview. We have student helpers here to ensure they know what is going on, and to try to keep everyone as relaxed as possible. Our helpers even organise film nights and trips to the ice cream parlour in the evenings so people are not in a room on their own panicking!
