Travel and Conference Grants

75 research grants, totaling over £18,000, were awarded to our graduate students in the academic year 2010/11.  Such grants provide support for graduates going to their first conference or giving their first paper.  They also fund research trips to libraries and research institutes overseas.

How do I apply?You can download the application form below and send it to the PA to the Senior Tutor.
When can I apply?Applications are considered in 4th and 8th week each term. Please apply well in advance of your scheduled trip.
What do I need to provide?The one-page form asks for the basic details of where, when, why, how much you require. You will also have to request the support of your supervisor for applications of £150 or more.
What will College provide?We aim to be as generous as we can but we advise you to seek additional/matching funds from your department or funding body.
