St Anne’s has a growing community in Earth Sciences, with three Fellows in the subject, whose field areas range from the Arctic Ocean to southern Chile.

Don Porcelli is an authority in environmental and isotope geochemistry; David Pyle works on the links between volcanism, climate and tectonics; and Richard Katz (RCUK Research Fellow) studies the fluid dynamics of Earth and planetary interiors. St Anne’s is ideally located for the Earth Sciences department, which is just five minutes' walk away across the University Parks.
