St Anne’s accepts graduate students both for taught courses and as research students working towards a DPhil or MLitt.

Delivery of the taught courses is given in the Faculty, mostly through seminar groups, colloquia and special classes. The main role of the College is to provide an additional intellectual and social environment for graduate study. St Anne’s is very proud of its library and practical music facilities. John Traill acts as College Advisor to graduate students and supervises a number of Masters dissertations and DPhil theses each year. Recent topics include Mahler, Schoenberg, Strauss, Prokofiev, the analysis of orchestration, music and surrealism, and 19th-century music history.

Please see the links below for details of the postgraduate courses available in Music and for information about how to apply.

St Anne's offers a number of scholarships, bursaries and awards for postgraduate students. Please see our pages on Financial Matters for details.
