The College has a vibrant mathematical community, with five tutors and two distinguished professorial Fellows who work together to provide a varied and stimulating environment right across the mathematical sciences.

St Anne's has one of the largest mathematical groups of any of the colleges. This group has regular social events for undergraduates, graduate students and staff, ranging from formal dinners with invited speakers to post-exam parties, all of which extend students' mathematical experience. We have always recruited from a very wide range of schools within Britain as well as welcoming candidates from overseas, and our undergraduate body is enriched by this diversity of backgrounds.

Our teaching strength in Mathematics allows us to provide tutorials within the College across the full range of the core syllabus. (For specialized teaching, especially at higher levels, we make use, as other colleges do, of an intercollegiate class scheme.)

St Anne's College is conveniently situated within a few minutes' walk of the Mathematical Institute and other lecture venues and of the University's Radcliffe Science Library.

We believe that our undergraduates gain from interacting with those studying related disciplines and so welcome applicants for all the mathematical sciences degrees.

We are looking for students with strong motivation and high potential, a genuine enthusiasm for mathematics, and excitement in exploring new ideas. Determination and tenacity are important too: the most interesting mathematical ideas are challenging and take time and effort to master.
