Arabella graduated from St Anne’s with a degree in History before working in journalism, magazines and TV. She is currently a publisher and commissioning editor at HarperCollins, one of the big four publishing companies and heads up William Collins – the company’s founding imprint. She works with authors across politics, history, economics, memoir, travel, science and nature – as well as some fiction. She was the winner of the inaugural ‘Freedom to Publish’ Award for her work publishing and defending Catherine Belton’s Putin’s People from an unprecedented legal attack by five Russian billionaires. She is happy to talk about her career and to discuss the state of publishing generally, including but not limited to how to get hired, how to get published, the impact of AI on writers and publishers, jobs in media generally – especially newspapers, radio and podcasts. Bring your questions and she will do her best to answer them.
We would be delighted if you could join us for this Q&A which is a unique event for St Anne’s students.
