The Governing Body of St Anne’s College invites applications for a Stipendiary Lecturer in Pure Mathematics, tenable from 21 September 2026 for a fixed term of one year.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, talented lecturer able to undertake three contact hours a week of tutorial and/or small class teaching averaged over the three eight-week terms of the academic year 2026–27. Duties will include setting and marking written work, assisting students with study skills, revision and essay writing, submitting reports, and providing assistance with undergraduate admissions if requested. Alongside a proven teaching ability you will have good communication skills and be able to participate in pastoral and organisation tasks within the College.

The Mathematics School at St Anne’s comprises four Tutorial Fellows, two Professorial Fellows and one Stipendiary Lecturer and two Graduate Development Students with expertise in a wide range of areas in mathematics. We have a diverse group of undergraduate and graduate students and try to attract students from the broadest range of backgrounds. We work closely with Computer Science to admit around 13–14 undergraduates per year across Mathematics, Computer Science and joint Schools.
