Senior Outreach Officer

Senior Outreach Officer

Full time, permanent, Salary in the range of £28,014- £30,610 per annum

Are you highly motivated about widening participation and keen to take an Oxford college’s outreach agenda to the next level? If you are, this is the post for you!

Holding an exciting external facing, pivotal role within the Academic Office, you will work to ensure that St Anne’s admits students with the greatest academic ability and potential in their chosen subject, on merit alone, using fair procedures.  You will work closely with schools in the United Kingdom, ensuring that the message to potential applicants is that St Anne’s is a college where those who have the talent to thrive in Oxford should consider applying.

You will also assist with the admissions process, responding to admissions enquires from individuals, parents and teachers, and will support the College’s Visiting Student programme, which brings international students to St Anne’s for up to a year of study.

You will need to demonstrate a good level of organisational ability and efficient time management to be able to ensure that critical tasks are achieved on time. You must be confident making decisions.  There is a need to work collaboratively with other colleges and with departments of the University and so you must be able to demonstrate your ability to work well in a team environment as well as your ability to work independently using your own initiative with minimal supervision.  Good communication is essential. You will line manage the part-time Outreach Officer.

The role could suit an experienced Outreach Officer, or someone who has worked in some other widening participation or teaching capacity who brings enthusiasm for access and transferable skills to the job. You will need to have a positive and flexible attitude to work. Travel and some overnight stays in the College and in the North East will be required.  The starting salary will reflect previous experience.
