General Assistant - Dining Hall
Full time, permanent, £16,814
We are currently looking for a full time General Assistant to work in the Dining Hall.
- Hours per week: 36.25 (meal breaks are unpaid)
- Hours per day: Variable (including weekends and evenings), according to shift roster. Two days off are usually given per week.
- Responsible to: Catering Manager
Working in any area of the Catering Department to meet the needs of the College, General Assistants duties will include; providing servery, plate and buffet services to the highest standard, serving meals, snacks and beverage within STACS, handling cash, preparing and clearing food service areas and tables, stocking and replenishing counters and fridges, occasional evening bar work. The above list of duties and responsibilities is not exhaustive and you may be required to carry out alternative tasks.
We are looking for a team player with experience in food service, good personal presentation and cash handling experience. The GA needs to have excellent time management skills and be able to work unsupervised.

Casual Dining Hall General Assistant
£7.83 per hour plus 0.95p per hour holiday pay. Total payable per hour £8.78
The Catering Department of St Anne’s College are looking for casual Dining Hall General Assistants (waiting staff). Working in the Catering department, the roster includes mainly weekend shifts, however, day and evening shifts may also be available. Shift times may vary depending on College needs. As this is a casual role there is no guarantee of being offered any shifts. The main duties will be assisting in the preparation of dining rooms and serving of all meals to guests as well as carrying out other catering duties as required including coffee shop and bar work.
