We are one of Oxford’s largest colleges, with some 446 undergraduates and 300 graduates. Our Fellows’ interests range across the Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, Mathematics, Physical and Medical Sciences.
Since its founding, St Anne’s College has always been about widening access to an Oxford Education. It uniquely allowed women from the UK and many other countries to study at Oxford, whilst living more flexibly and affordably at home or in lodgings across the city.
St Anne's has always been conveniently positioned for the nearby Science Area and University Parks, but with the Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities just across the road, we are now almost uniquely well-positioned for students of the Humanities and Sciences alike.
Close to bustling Jericho, there are multiple supermarkets, restaurants and bars all within a 5 minute walk. Unlike other Colleges, we do not have a chapel, but there is both an Anglican and a Catholic church within 500m. The University's Prayer Room and Mosque is a 7 minute walk from College, while the Oxford Jewish Centre and Synagogue, which provides kosher meals, is a 9 minute walk away.
Our academics play a full part in College life and aim to inspire and challenge every student to achieve their academic potential. Our library is recognised as one of the biggest in Oxford and is used by both undergraduates and graduates. We take our responsibilities for the welfare of our students extremely seriously.
All first-year undergraduate students live on site in College, and we offer three years of college accommodation or, for those who prefer, financial support to rent privately. We offer a wide range of graduate scholarships and can offer graduate accommodation to many graduates.
