Please note that some awards will not be available every year.

Centenary Scholarships and Bursaries

St Anne’s students who continue with us as full-time students registered for a postgraduate degree are automatically awarded either a Centenary Scholarship or a Centenary Bursary. Pre-Clinical Medics returning for the Clinical Medicine programme are also eligible for these awards. A Centenary Scholarship has a value of £1,000 and is awarded to those St Anne’s students who obtained either a First Class degree or a Distinction on a taught Masters programme. Otherwise, a Centenary Bursary (£500) is awarded.

Bursaries for Clinical Medicine and Graduate-Entry Medicine

Clinical Medics and Graduate-Entry Medicine students can apply for a grant of up to £200 to help with the purchase of any necessary equipment required for the course. Also available are Graduate Travel Grants, of up to £1,000 over the duration of the programme, towards the cost of an elective in an overseas country and/or attendance at a conference.

Graduate Research and Travel Grants at St Anne's

Graduate Research and Travel Grants provide support for graduates (excluding Clinical Medics and Graduate Entry Medical students) going to a conference, preference is given to those students presenting a paper or poster. They also fund research trips to libraries and research institutes overseas.

There are three deadlines in each academic year at noon on Friday of Week 5 of every term.  Look out for the email sent to all graduate students from the Academic Office at the start of each term. Within the email will be a link and you will be asked to complete an application online.

We aim to be as generous as we can but we advise you to seek additional/matching funds from your department or funding body. We usually offer up to £100 for travel within the UK, up to £250 for travel to Europe, and up to £500 for travel elsewhere.

Unsuccessful applications will automatically be passed to the MCR Academic Affairs Rep to be considered for an MCR funded travel/research grant.
