The annual ‘Meeting Minds’ weekend at the University of Oxford took place during September 2026. Professor Saiful Islam (Professorial Fellow at St Anne’s) was selected from among many applications to present a lecture in the Life and Mind Building to Oxford alumni, associates and their guests in a weekend of discovery, connection and celebration.

Saiful used 3D specs to describe some of his research group’s work on ‘Green Energy Materials in 3D – Crystal Gazing on the Atomic Scale’ in which he covered new materials for lithium batteries in electric vehicles and for next-generation solar power.
