St Anne’s Tutorial Fellow in Law, Professor Imogen Goold, appointed Visiting Professor of Medical Law at Gresham College

We’re pleased to announce that Imogen Goold (Professor and Fellow of St Anne’s College) has been appointed Visiting Professor of Medical Law at Gresham College. Founded in 1597, Gresham College is an independently funded educational institution, that has been providing free lectures within the City of London for over 400 years. Its objective is ‘to contribute to society through the pursuit, dissemination, and application of knowledge, by means of innovative collaboration and partnerships’.
As visiting professor, Imogen will give three lectures in the 2021/22 Gresham lecture series. She gave the first of these lectures last month, on the topic of children and consent to medical treatment. The lecture was live-streamed and can now be viewed on YouTube here.
Her second and third lectures will examine whether the law should allow people to own human bodily material such as organs and blood, and how the law should regulate the freezing of oocyte to extend female fertility. Do keep an eye on our social media for further information about these lectures. You can also find them here.
She has lectured once before at Gresham, when she joined St Anne’s alumna Jo Delahunty QC in speaking about children and medical treatment. You can watch their joint lecture here.
