‘Writing the Camp’, by DPhil Candidate Yousif M. Qasmiyeh, published as one of ’50 poems about what it means to be alive in the world today’

We’re very pleased to share the news that a poem by Yousif M. Qasmiyeh, DPhil Candidate in English Literature, has received further critical acclaim following the shortlisting of Yousif’s collection for the 2022 Royal Society of Literature Ondaatje Prize. ‘Writing the Camp’ was published as one of “fifty poems about what it means to be alive in the world today” in Pádraig Ó Tuama’s recent book, Poetry Unbound: 50 Poems to Open Your World.

The collection ‘Writing the Camp’ was also Highly Commended by the 2021 Forward Prizes.
