David Rees KC in conversation with Professor Imogen Goold

David Rees KC of 5 Stone Buildings will be in conversation with Professor Imogen Goold about his career at the Bar. David was named Chancery Silk of the Year at the Chambers & Partners Bar Awards in 2024. His practice began in Chancery, and has expanded into Court of Protection work specialising in trusts, wills and probate, family provision, proprietary estoppel, administration of estates, setting aside transactions for example by reason of mental incapacity and undue influence and related professional negligence. He has a particular interest in issues surrounding elderly clients and incapacity. In Court of Protection cases he is regularly instructed by leading firms of private client solicitors and the Official Solicitor.

The talk will be followed by a question and answer session, and will be of interest to any students who are considering a career at the Bar.
