Oxfordshire Community Land Trust is hosting a talk, on “retrofitting our homes”, by members of the architecture, art and design collective Assemble. Assemble won “Europe’s most prestigious contemporary visual art award, the Turner Prize” for their Granby Four Streets
They will tell us about the general principles they use to guide their retrofit projects, as well as more specific detail about their current project at St Anne’s College in Oxford, where they’re refurbishing 10 Victorian villas (Bevington Road) just around the corner (and visible) from the talk venue.
The talk should be of interest both to those who want to think about improving (affordable) housing in general, and to those who want more information about upgrading their own homes.
Free tickets are available here (suggested donation of £10).
