Research interests
Joshua works on the legal history of democratic ideas and institutions; he specializes in the role of the Church and medieval legal systems on the development of early modern political concepts. He is currently working on a legal and theological history of “accountability” and its relationship to contemporary democratic theory and political philosophy.
