Academic background

Neville Harnew earned a PhD in Elementary Particle Physics at Westfield College, University of London, in 1978. He was subsequently a Research Associate at the University of Michigan and a CERN Fellow between 1983 and 1986. He became Professor of Physics at Oxford in 1986 and has been a member of St Anne’s for over 30 years.
