“The summer scheme at Taylor Maritime Investments provided fantastic theoretical and practical insights into the shipping industry. Over four weeks, my internship involved work across several departments, each with a unique focus that offered me a well-rounded understanding of the company’s operations and the maritime industry as a whole. Coming from a very qualitative environment (a history degree), the scheme provided a rapid and practical introduction to a more quantitative, business-oriented world. In addition I gained valuable industry contacts and clarity on my career trajectory, along with recommendations for further courses and contacts.” Thomas Lavis, TMI intern, summer 2024.
“I had a really fantastic time working at TMI: I was welcomed into the office very warmly and felt very capable when entrusted with an unfamiliar task, and I would recommend this internship to anyone who wants to get some office experience, who has an interest in trade and asset investment, and really to anyone who is not quite sure what they want to do after graduating university.” Holly Boyle, TMI intern, summer 2023.
“This four-week internship has really given me insight into this niche dry bulk shipping industry and understand how global economy and politics is closely linked with the shipping industry. This internship has also stretched me well with many challenging but achievable tasks, which enhanced my financial knowledge. Although I was only there for a month, I felt myself fully immersed in the company culture and formed a strong connection with the team.” Tuo Wang, TMI intern, summer 2022.
