Hartland House houses our collections in the Arts and Humanities, as well as Law.
Designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott and built in modules, it was the first building of the Society for Home-Students, as St. Anne's was then known. The first module was completed and opened in 1937 with the Library taking up one wing of the first floor. Two further modules were completed in 1952 and 1973, and the Library has since expanded to the ground floor and first floor corridor.
