St Anne’s Fellow, Professor Julia Hippisley Cox appointed Professor at Queen Mary University of London

From 1 February, Professor Julia Hippisley-Cox will leave St Anne’s and the University to take up a new position at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) as Professor of Clinical Epidemiology and Predictive Medicine.

Reflecting on her time with the department, Julia said:

“It has been extraordinary being part of such a research-intensive and vibrant department and university, with so many opportunities. I would like to thank everyone for making this such a memorable experience, especially during the Covid pandemic. We have many ongoing projects and new grants together, so I look forward to continuing our fruitful collaborations.”

She added: “I have so much enjoyed my time at St Anne’s; it’s been an absolute privilege to be part of such a lovely College.”

Prof Sir Aziz Sheikh said: 

“Julia has made an important contribution to our department through her leadership of the QResearch database and her innovative work in clinical epidemiology. We wish Julia all the best in this exciting new role at QMUL and look forward to continuing to work with her and her team. I am pleased to confirm that existing projects and collaborations involving QResearch will continue uninterrupted.”
