St Anne’s Principal, Helen King, and Deputy Development Director, Felice Nassar, have recently returned from a very welcome first St Anne’s visit to alumnae on the East Coast of the USA since before the pandemic. The visit was arranged to coincide with Professor Irene Tracey’s first in-post visit to New York since becoming Vice Chancellor of the University of Oxford.
The visit offered an opportunity to meet with alumnae both familiar and new. On Wednesday 12th April, we were delighted to welcome St Anne’s alumnae to the Vice Chancellor’s Reception at The University Club in NYC. Afterwards, a St Anne’s Alumnae Dinner was held for those able to attend.
On Saturday 15th April, we also held a St Anne’s Family Brunch, an opportunity for locally-based alumnae and their friends to meet with Felice and Helen to catch up with St Anne’s news – especially the Bevington Road regeneration – and with each other. We were also glad to be able to spend time with several other friends of St Anne’s who were unable to attend the main events.
We are grateful to those who were able to meet us during the visit, allowing us to offer our thanks to alumnae for their support of College. Hopefully this is the first of several overseas trips to come. There are St Anne’s alumnae all over the world, and our goal is to keep as many of them as possible in touch with the College and with each other.
