Non-Stipendiary Junior Research Fellowships (2) in Medical Sciences, Social Sciences or Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences

The Fellowships will be awarded for one year initially, tenable from 29th September 2025, renewable for another two years, to a maximum of three years in total.

£2,250 per annum

The Governing Body of St Anne’s College and the Centre for Personalised Medicine invite applications for two Non-Stipendiary Junior Research Fellowships in Medical Sciences, Social Sciences or Mathematical, Physical and Life Sciences.

The JRF is open to those at an early stage of their academic career. You will either be in a fully-funded research position within a department of the University of Oxford, or possess a firm offer for such a position at the time of interview.

The post-holders must be undertaking research into Personalised Medicine from a Medical Science, Social Science or Mathematical, Physical or Life Science disciplinary approach, funded by an outside grant body or the University of Oxford, for the duration of the Fellowship.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• lead and contribute to research meetings, conferences, and symposia, and by using social media for optimum exposure of their research findings and outcomes, thereby heightening the impact of their research;
• encourage and facilitate the engagement of students and academic staff in St Anne’s College, researchers in the University, and medical professionals and policy makers in the wider world, with the Centre for Personalised Medicine, by inviting speakers, arranging research workshops, and contributing to public engagement events focused on personalised medicine research.

The Centre for Personalised Medicine (CPM) is a partnership between St Anne’s College and the Centre for Human Genetics (CHG), part of the Nuffield Department of Medicine (NDM) at the University of Oxford. Our aim is to drive multi- and inter-disciplinary collaboration, share knowledge, and facilitate impactful research that resonates with public, professional, academic and policy-influencing audiences.
