An Evening with Dame Sharon White, DBE, Chair of the John Lewis Partnership

The Principal and Fellows of St Anne’s College are delighted to welcome Dame Sharon White for a student-led panel interview. As Chair of the John Lewis Partnership, Dame Sharon heads one of the most well-known British brands that features in towns and cities across the country. Prior to John Lewis, Dame Sharon held a variety of roles in the Civil Service. She was the Chief Executive of the British media regulator Ofcom, and was Second Permanent Secretary at HM Treasury. Dame Sharon was the first black person, and the second woman, to become a Permanent Secretary at the Treasury.

St Anne’s JCR President, Simon Abehsera-Cohen, Ethnic Minorities Rep, Mbere Umoh and Medicine Student, Zainab Bhamji, will be helping us to get to know Dame Sharon as they talk to her about her career, upbringing, education and more.

Join us from 6pm in the Tsuzuki Lecture Theatre on Thursday 2nd March followed by drinks and dinner in The Ruth Deech Building.
