Our friendly Midlands group will be meeting at St George’s Church in Edgbaston at 11am on Saturday 2nd November to undertake an informative ‘blue plaque’ walk of this leafy part of Birmingham which, in the industrial 19th century, was referred to as ‘where the trees begin’, as the well-connected Gillott family had refused to allow factories or warehouses to be built there.
We will enjoy an easy local walk visiting a selection of blue plaque buildings, stopping for lunch at 1pm at The Highfield Restaurant. If walking is not for you, you are welcome to join us just for the lunch.
All are welcome. If you would like to join us, please RSVP Michele Gawthorpe (Midlands Rep) at email@example.com by 26th October.
