Midlands SAS walk & pub lunch in Shropshire
The walk, ably organised by our members Graeme and Olwen, is a 4.5 – 5 mile circular, starting at a National Trust car park at Hampton Loade, WV15 6HD. Parking is free for members but a circa £5 charge for non-members. Terrain is good, all on footpaths in and around the Dudmaston Estate. The parts of the estate we walk through are free of charge to all as they are public footpaths rather than NT ones. The intention is to walk the walk and have a lunch at The Squirrel pub, which is a five-minute drive away and appears to have ample parking.
The plan is to assemble at 10:30am with lunch at 1pm makes it a stroll and allows time to talk, rest (if needed) and admire the scenery. You would be welcome to join just for the pub lunch if you prefer.
