Subject Family Event: Pathways into Medicine

The theme for this event is ‘Pathways through medicine’. Not only is this an opportunity to get to know more of the St Anne’s medics but hopefully it will shed some light on the progression from being a medical student to being on a training program for a particular speciality. The event will consist of 7 short talks focusing on foundation job applications and entering specialty training. The following speakers will talk about the different specialties:
Dr Helen Close- foundation applications
Dr Jill Betts- Internal medical training (IMT)
Dr Henry Drysdale- core surgical training and anaesthetics
Dr Harriet Aspinall- GP
Dr Simone Paulson- paediatrics
Professor Sally Collins- O&G
Dr Aaron Simpson- pathology
The format of the evening is as follows:
5.30-6.30pm talks
6.30pm drinks reception
7pm buffet dinner in Foyer B
Those wishing to sign up for the (free) dinner should do so by 12 noon on Monday 20th February, via the meal booking system or by emailing deborah.walker@st-annes.ox.ac.uk if you are a member of ACR staff.
