In the 75th anniversary year of the National Health Service, Dr Andrew Seaton, Plumer Junior Research Fellow in History, has published Our NHS: A History of Britain’s Best Loved Institution (Yale University Press, 2023). The book is based on Dr Seaton’s research and was completed at St Anne’s. Out today, 27th June, it can be purchased

New ESRC-funding will see Oxford researchers examine how active travel can be more inclusive of children with non-visible disabilities. At least 1.5 million children in England have special educational needs (SEN), with the most common type of need involving a non-visible disability (GOV.UK, 2022). Non-visible disabilities are disabilities that are not immediately obvious to others,

The Oxford Translation Day 2023 programme is now live! Every June, the Oxford Comparative Criticism and Translation (OCCT) Research Centre at St Anne’s runs Oxford Translation Day—a celebration of literary translation, featuring workshops and talks and culminating in the award of the Oxford-Weidenfeld Prize.  The programme is now live here.


Two St Anne’s Fellows appointed Fellows of AMS

We are proud to share the news that two St Anne’s/CPM Fellows have been elected Fellows of the Academy of Medical Sciences. Professor Julia Hippisley-Cox and Professor Cecilia Lindgren have both received the award. The new Fellows have been elected to the Academy in recognition of their exceptional contributions to the advancement of biomedical and
