Whizz Education Internship

Whizz Education enables communities around the world to reach their full potential through individualised learning. It is an education partner accountable for learning outcomes. Since 2004, they have partnered with schools, ministries of education and development agencies to bring the power of individualised learning to over a million students worldwide.

Whizz Education currently manage implementations in the UK, US, New Zealand, Mexico, Kenya, The Democratic Republic of Congo, Russia, UAE and Thailand.

The Internship:

• Software development 
• A week of onboarding including an introduction to the company, being an education partner, their projects, Maths Whizz and an overview of each Central Service department.
• A good understanding of the product as a student and teacher user.
• Attend a school visit to see Maths Whizz in a school setting.
• Will be based in the Education department and given a project to complete on behalf of Whizz. This will be a project that creates real value in supporting communities around the world to achieve their full potential through individualised learning.

Who can apply: All students (excluding Visiting Students). Whizz Education are happy to accept passionate students who want to make a difference across all year groups.

Subjects: Ideally maths, IT, research and education.

Language Requirements: English, but French and/or Spanish would be useful.

Personal qualities: Passionate about education and research. Committed and dedicated. Resilient and resourceful.

Period: Over the Long Vacation, between 4 – 12 weeks depending on the project.

Location: Macmillan House, Paddington Station, London, W2 1FT.

Remuneration: £8.30 per hour for 37.5 hours per week. Travel expenses are paid but accommodation is not provided.
